BODY BY VI 90 day challenge

So I started promoting Body by Vi. Im going to give you a rundown of the reasons I choose Body By Vi. I was in the process of researching 2 different products to promote, both are great products, both cater to 2 different classification of people.  I choose Body By Vi because I decided I wanted to choose the one that was really going to help fight obesity. I wanted to help people learn to eat a healthy diet and set healthy boundaries. I wanted to help people learn to FUEL there bodies, not just eat whatever stepped out in front of them first. Y'all know what I'm talking about there, even I have done it and still do at times.

Throughout my research, I tried my hardest to find something negative about the product.  You know the internet its full of peoples hateful reviews.  Truth be told, I really only saw one success story, after another. Each person telling in their own words, how Body By Vi has changed their life, transformed their body and took them off of medications, which once was the glue that held them. I saw pictures of obese people, one right after another, shedding their fat, gaining energy and really enjoying every second of their new healthy lifestyle. I was inspired!

So then, I decided to do a little research on the product itself in terms of a healthy diet.  So unbeknownst to my friend, (she'll know now), I went on her My Fitness Pal log. I transferred her complete daily log of food for several different days and pasted it on my MFP food journal.  Why? Because I wanted to see not only what she was eating to make her so successful (50lbs in 6 mths - see picture below) but how many calories she was taking in. I was sure she was in starvation mode.  Guess what, she wasn't and the great thing is, she was eating no different then what I eat on a daily basis, but she was having a shake with it. OK!!!! Then of course I looked at the vitamins, calcium, etc etc and she was good.  Not only that, but she had a great exercise routine going on. Something Visalus encourages in order to get in top health and shape.

Finally, I felt I needed to research what it was about Body By Vi that kept them going for the 90 day challenge, in which, many of them were hugely successful.  AND THEN....I found it, my answer.  All you have to do is Pinterest Body By Vi and you will find some of the most delicious shakes. All you do is add some of your favorite raw ingredients veggies, fruits, peanut butter etc, to the shake.  Not only that, but when the need arises for that sweet treat....OH MY! The options are endless.

So with that said, I have not started my challenge because I'm ending a cleanse and getting ready to go on vacation, but I cant wait to get started.  Check out the overview lin khttp://visalus.com/body-by-vi-overview-presentation  , to see if Body by Vi is for you. Banana Peanut Butter protein balls

Well today was a fun day.  I bought a ton of bananas that were getting brown spots for $1 for a whole bag of them. I bought 5 bags. I froze alot of them but I still had some out.  Today they had to be used. So I tried my hand at a couple recipes and I have to admit I have impressed even myself.

Again, you can mix it up and add your own stuff but heres the basic recipe

Banana Peanut Butter protein balls

4 bananas mashed
1 cup Peanut butter
3 cups of oats (gluten free)
2 tbsp flax seed
2 tbsp chia seed
2 tbsp brown rice syrup (or honey)
2 scoops of brown rice protein powder
1/3 cup of organic dried cherries

Mix it all together form balls and put in the freezer to let set

HOLY COW! Its been a while...

Wow its been so long since I updated this blog. I have a ton of pictures to recipes to upload but the unfortunate thing is that its been so long, I forgot what recipes the pictures go with.

So Ive been super busy with schooling and all but Im getting back into my homemade healthy recipes (I think I burned out for a while there) but now that Im back on track and found a ton of yummy stuff on pinterest I want to try, Im hoping to be able to update on my blog all my new healthy finds.

One thing I found while I was on blogging hiatus, is that my body hates fruit.  I tried some 3, 7, 10 day juicing/blending cleanses and found that I gained weight with every day because these cleanses use so much fruit. I never used the amount of fruit that they called for and always upped the veggies but still gained.  So, you might not be seeing a lot of fruit blends from me.  Actually truth be told, I still blend the fruit and veggies for my hubby and daughter but I tend to stick to the veggie blends with maybe an apple.

So with all that said, be watching for some super yummy, mean, clean, green and healthy recipes coming your way

Its good to be back. Pin It
